Wolves manager Julen Lopetegui has claimed a deal for Atletico Madrid striker Matheus Cunha is “close”.
Cunha has been linked with a move to the Premier League, with Arsenal and Chelsea rumoured to be among the interested clubs.
But Lopetegui has claimed a deal for the 23-year-old striker to move to Molineux is not far away.
When asked what he needs to do at new club Wolves to turn things around, Lopetegui told Spanish outlet MARCA: “Convincing the boys that they have much more capacity.
“We will also try to improve the team in the January market – Cunha is close.”
