The United Kingdom on Thursday announced that a new tranche of trade sanctions will be imposed on Russia as the war in Ukraine continues.

The ‘Notice to Exporters’ published on the government’s website listed new measures including prohibitions on the export to Russia of a range of goods and technology, the export of jet fuel, and the export of sterling or EU denominated banknotes.
The notice also said there were new prohibitions on the provision of technical assistance, and financial services, funds, and brokering services relating to iron and steel imports.
Some of the prohibitions will relate to Russia, and the non-government controlled Ukraine territories.
It comes more than a month after Britain announced fresh sanctions targeting £1.7bn worth of trade with Russia in a bid to “further weaken Putin’s war machine”.
