The Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT) has revealed plans to build an international standard hospital for mother and child.
The fund raising for the project which is expected to gulp N100million alongside skills training, empowerment and lecture on the security challenges in the country are part of the major activities lined up for the 22nd Women’s Week of the Islamic charity and faith-based religion organisation which holds from October 3 to 10 at all zones of NASFAT.
According to NASFAT National Women Affairs Secretary, Hajia Suwebat Kupolati, the eight-day event will commence on Sunday with a special prayer for Nigerian women and their families while widows and elders will also be celebrated via provision of welfare support.
The second day will see NASFAT women embark on a charity visit across locations to show love to the orphanage homes, hospitals and correctional centres with donation of food items, cloth and other items.
“In empoweriing women, we have put them through acquiring skills in snail farming, tomato paste production, bag making, cake and small chop making among others and this would be rounded off with an empowerment graduation ceremony.” Kupolati said.
Activities scheduled for the fourth day will see NASFAT women visit government and private Schools for camplaign against Kidnapping, sexual gender-based violence. The women will also address students and distribute exercise book
Thursday October 7 will see the women head to markets where they will give sanitation talks to market men and women. They will also collaborate with Lagos Waste Management Authority.
“Other zones are to partner with their state waste authorities for same purpose,” Kupolati added.
Another programme lined up for the day is Women Connect with Missionary – an online programme.
Friday October 8 is the Finals of female participation in Qur’an recitation and Quiz Competition. There will also be a special Jumat. Service during which the Mission Board prays for the Nation while the day’s programme will be rounded off with a

The penultimate day of activities will commence with fitness walk while there will also be medical screening for ear, nose and throat examination.
There will also be a fun fair which will bring NASFAT women together from all professions, across zones and branches, and diaspora for relaxation and net working.

The grand finale ceremony, according to Kupolati, scheduled for Sunday October 10 with a Lecture themed “Ending Insecurity and Sustaining Peace- Strategies and Resource for the Muslimah” at NASFAT Islamic Centre, Asesee, Ogun State.
