The Secretary to Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board (LSCPWB) Mrs. Florence Yetunde – Gbafe has disclosed the board’s preparation to embark on sensitization of residents across the 20 Local Government and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDA’s), after the successful 2021 Easter pilgrimage to Jordan.
The awareness program, according to Yetunde-Gbafe, is meant to showcase activities of the board and inform the people about proposed November-December 2021 general pilgrimage. She expressed appreciation to God for the success of the pilgrimage to Jordan, which was the first of its kind, owing to the closure of Israeli borders by the government of Israel.
Expressing gratitude to all pilgrims that participated in the 2021 Easter Pilgrimage through the Board the Secretary said, “The fact that Israel borders were closed and we had to go to Jordan and also conduct COVID -19 on each and every intending Pilgrim did not discourage you from going with us is a sign that you believe in us.
Reiterating that the pilgrimage is a total package that takes care of both the physical and spiritual needs of participants, she calls for more Christian intending Pilgrims to take advantage of available opportunities at LSCPWB when they are ready for the pilgrimage.
