Ighalo returns to Shenhua after hamstring injury

Nigerian Odion Ighalo returned to action for his Chinese team, Shanghai Shenhua after suffering hamstring injury in July 18, 2019. Ighalo made his first appearance after his injury, he joined his side flop to a 3-0 home defeat to Tianjin Teda.

The homers needed a saviour and the fans casting hopes on that the Nigerian striker to haul them back into the game, the 30-year-old striker was introduced in the 55th minute for Stephan El Shaarawy of Italy with Shanghai Shenhua already three goals down.

Ighalo remained joyous despite the loss, he took to his social media accounts to express how he felt “Once has the Lord spoken and twice have I heard that all powers in Heaven and earth belongs to him; the battle is of the Lord.”
