Abia Warriors captain, Austine Obaroakpo is ecstatic to return to action again for the club following an injury ravaged campaign, reports apnewsng.com.
The centre-back has rarely featured for the Umuahia-based outfit this season due to illness and a toe injury.
After missing the club’s last 15 games, the dependable defender make a glorious return to action last Sunday helping his team record a comprehensive 4-0 win against oriental rivals, Enugu Rangers at the Umuahia Township Stadium.
He revealed to apnewsng.com that he is looking forward to playing on a regular basis for the modest side for the rest of the season.
“To say i missed playing footbal will be an understatement,”the experience defender stated in a chat with apnewsng.com.
“It was tough watching my team-mates play without really having the chance to help them on the pitch.
“But i thank God everything is in the past now and i can look forward to a great time ahead.
“The win against Rangers makes it a memorable comeback for me and i hope we do well in subsequent games.”
