Adamawa State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman, Tahir Shehu has expressed confidence that former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar would liberate the country from underdevelopment and insecurity.
Shehu disclosed this when he received a committee soliciting support for Atiku, led by Chief Raymond Dokpesi, yesterday in Yola.
Dokpesi, the founder of DAAR Communications, who is the leader of the Technical Committee for Atiku said Adamawa was the 24th state his committee was visiting and that all the 24 states showed overwhelming support for Atiku.
He added that the Northeast is the only zone that has not produced Nigeria’s President since 1966.
Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, represented by his deputy, Chief Crowther Seth, promised that the state would rally round the former Vice-President to enable him realise his presidential ambition, considering the fact that he is a son of the state.
