Russia’s Economy Minister Maxim Reshetnikov, said the country will see deflation in June, with consumers tending to save, rather than spend.
Speaking at a conference of Russia’s top business lobby group, he said demand in the Russian economy remains low.
His remarks indicate that the war in Ukraine, accompanied by sanctions imposed by the West, could be taking its toll on the country’s finances.
