Rivers United off to Kampala Thursday for KCCA clash

Rivers United will depart the country for Kampala, Uganda on Thursday for Saturday’s crucial CAF Confederation Cup matchday three fixture against  KCCA FC, reports apnewsng.com.

The Pride of Rivers arrived Lagos on Monday to begin preparations for the game against the Uganda Premier League champions.

Players and officials of the Port Harcourt-based outfit are expected to  jet out  to Kampala from the Murtala Mohammed International Airport on Thursday morning to honour the game.

Stanley Eguma’s men sit in third position with three points  in their group with a win and defeat from their opening two games.

KCCA have the same points but occupy last position albeit on inferior goal difference.

Club Africain of Tunisia and Moroccan side, FUS Rabat will in the other Group A fixture.
