Recession: Ahmadiyya calls for calm, commends Nigerians

Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat, Nigeria has urged Nigerians to be patient with President Muhammadu Buhari as the government navigates through theĀ  economic recession.

The group also commended the unique and unflinching sacrifices made by Nigerians since the nation attained self rule in 1960.

According to a statement made available to Authentic Platform News Nigeria, the Amir/Head, Jamaat, Nigeria, Dr. Mashuud Adenrele Fasola made the remarks on Friday in a sermon to members of the Islamic community

He assured that the sacrifices will never be in vain as the citizens must be ready to put government on its toes to deliver on promises to the people irrespective of religion or ethnic background.

He noted the tremendous support given to president administration since its inception while appreciating the change begins with me social, economic and political mobilisation drive.

Fasola urged the country’s leadership to show practical and exemplary examples of discipline in all strata of life.

On agriculture, Fasola call on government to support farmers through purchase of farm produce from the farms, direct sale to Nigerians at resonable prices to cut down on middlemen exploitations of farmers.

He also seized the occasion to sendĀ  heartily wishes to Muslims in Nigeria and globally on the celebration of the new Islamic year .

Fashola enjoined Muslims to always demonstrate exemplary life styles and utmostĀ  humility in thier interactions with all.
