PDP Suspends Six leaders in Kwara Over Unruly Act

The Kwara State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Saturday announced  suspension of six of its chieftains who were standing trails over unruly act before the state’s  magistrate court.

This was contained in a statement jointly signed by state Chairman of the party, Akogun Iyiola-Oyedepo and Secretary, Barrister Yusuf, in Ilorin, listed  names of the suspended members as Prince Sunday Fagbemi, Kunle Suleiman, Alhaji Hassan Stands-Zorro, Capt. Isiaka Also (rtd), Alhaji Illyasu Ibrahim and Jide Usman-Alabi.

According to the statement, the members who were presently standing trial before a Magistrate Court in Ilorin, were suspended for unruly conduct, alleging that the six of them masterminded an unlawful and wilful breaking into the PDP secretariat in October.

The Kwara’s PDP chapter, hinted that the facing charges in court were accordingly reported to the police at the state’s police command where they were charge to magistrate court.

The statement explained that since the police has accordingly charged the six of them to the magistrate court, they must be suspended and when they finish with their matter in court, they may be reconsidered for re-admission into the party, if exonerated by the court of law.

It said, ” the matter had also been reported to the National Secretariat of the party and we have advised the suspended members and and their followers to keep away from the party secretariat in their own interest.

It was gathered that the six suspended PDP chieftains were arraigned before an Ilorin Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday recent where they have been standing trails over a two-count charge of illegal containment and forceful entry.
