Oshitelu FC Wins CAPAN Unity Cup

Oshitelu FC has won the maiden edition of Computer and Allied Production Dealers Association of Nigeria (CAPAN) Unity cup.

The team defeated its counterpart, Idowu Lane 4-3 on penalties in the competition that started on November 10, 2016.

A total of 15 teams participates in the maiden edition of the popular market for mobile phones and other tech devices, Computer Village.

Idowu lane dominated proceedings in the first half and was almost rewarded in 15th minute when striker, Gabriel shot wide at close range.

They were soon presented with another chance as Ekene picked out the run of Solomon, but he was unable to connect properly in his attempt to chip the on rushing Oshitelu goalkeeper, Ivan.

The away team finally put the ball inside the net but assistant referee adjudge Solomon to be in an offside position when Emenike put him through on goal as first half end in stalemate.

The Oshitelu boys were the first to threaten in the second half as they nearly scored in a counter attacking move, with Kololo latching onto the end Castle’s ball but then failing to slot past Alaba.

Both teams failed to registered a goal after end of regulation time and Idowu lane rue their missed chances as they lost 3-4 on penalties to Oshitelu.

The champions got cash price of 500 thousand naira with a trophy, while 1st runner up received 200 thousand naira cash price
