Super Falcons star, Francisca Ordega has been voted as the National Women’s Soccer League player of the week, reports apnewsng.com.
Ordega scooped the award for match-day four which was organised by the NWSL media association.
She was recognised for her impressive display in Washington Spirit 4-3 win against Sky Blue FC.
The 23-year-old netted twice and provided an assist in the encounter.
It’s the first time Ordega has been honored as
the NWSL Player of the Week and the 10th
time a Spirit player has won the award.
She is the first African-born player to earn the
accolade
