Nigeria Professional Football League champions, Enugu Rangers eased their relegation worries following a hard fought 1-0 home win against Plateau United in their rescheduled fixture at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium on Wednesday, reports apnewsng.com.
The Flying Antelopes who have endured a torrid campaign scored the winner through Daniel Etor in the 22nd minute.
Chibuzor Madu had earlier missed a penalty for the Coal City side in the 18th minute which was awarded after new boy, Chiderah Ezeh was fouled in the box.
In another encounter, Rivers United also boosted their survival hopes with a slim 1-0 win against Remo Stars.
Petite forward, Bernard Ovoke grabbed the decisive goal four minutes before the break.
