Nigeria’s Super Eagles drew 1-1 with Cape Verde in a World Cup qualifying match on Tuesday evening.
The game was held in Lagos’ Teslim Balogun Stadium.
Victor Osimhen scored the game’s first goal for Gernot Rohr’s side just one minute into the encounter.
Stopira equalized for Cape Verde barely five minutes later.
Both teams, however, were unable to score in the second half of the game, and the game finished 1-1 after regular time.
Nigeria now leads Group C with 13 points after six games, while Cape Verde is in second place with 11 points after the same amount of games.
It also means that Rohr’s team has qualified for the World Cup qualifying playoffs after winning their group.
