The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) with headquarters at Okwe has condemned and rejected the judgment of Justice Binta Nyako’s verdict on the secret trial of Nnamdi Kanu and others at Federal high court, Abuja.
A statement from the body and signed by Comrade Uchenna Madu, described the outcome of the verdict as devilish & manipulated, saying it is not targeted wholly against the people of Biafra but the Nigerian Christians in general.
The statement reads in part: “With utmost concern and consciousness of our brothers welfare and security of lives, MASSOB will continue to stand with our incarcerated comrades in prison for the sake of Biafra.
“How can presiding judge in a so called independent judiciary as an arm of a government that claimed it operates a democratic government be so cheap and allowed herself to be manipulated in such a bizarre manner?
“Is Nnamdi Kanu and others terrorists that can be tried in secrecy? Why must the arranged witnesses cover their identities? Why must masquerades be allowed to testify against human beings?
“These are signs of jittery, frustration and uncomfortable minds of our oppressors including the masquerades that are supposed to be revered, it’s also the beauty of non violence against a tyrannical fundamentalist.
It noted that although the judiciary has been mesmerized by the Presidency, but said the latest judicial manipulation against Nnamdi Kanu and others is the worst rascality, subjection and over dominant of the Executive Arm against the Judicial Arm of the worst Democratic government in the world.
