Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City will tomorrow play host to Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal side at the Etihad stadium as third battle fourth in the English Premier League.
City returned to winning ways with a 2-0 home victory over Watford on Wednesday, a welcome clean sheet after defeats at home to Chelsea (3-1) and Leicester (4-2). They remain without the suspended duo of Aguero and Fernandinho who were sent off late in the defeat to Chelsea and come into the game in fourth spot. With Chelsea in action a day earlier the gap between City and the league leaders could be anything from seven to ten points.
The Gunners coughed up a 1-0 lead to lose 2-1 to Everton at Goodison on Tuesday night, ending an unbeaten run that spanned 14 league games since a 4-3 loss to Liverpool at the Emirates on the opening weekend. Previous away form was rock solid with five wins and two draws but the only member of the current top six that the Gunners have visited is Manchester United where a late Giroud equalizer rescued a point in a 1-1 draw.
Head to Head:

Analysis:
City’s home form is not that great with only a 50% win ratio and Chelsea are the only big guns to have visited the Etihad so far. Arsenal were well below par at Everton and like City they are also missing some big players so with a question mark or two against both teams, most pundits side with a draw on this one, an outcome which has cropped up regularly enough in recent in the head to heads.
