Nigeria midfielder Raheem Lawal was the hero of
his Turkish team Kayserispor after he scored the winner in their 2-1 win over Konyaspor to move them above the relegation pack.
His club have thus climbed to 14 on the 18- team table with 36 points from 31 matches with three matches to the end of the season.
They now need just a draw at home against already
relegated Adanaspor next Saturday to guarantee their premier league place.
Lawal gave his side a 2-0 lead in the 59th minute and he has now scored five goals in 13 games.
He lasted for 84 minutes when he was replaced with Silvester Varela.
Midfielder Lawal, 27, has previously featured for Osmanlispor, Eskisehirspor, Mersin Idmunyurdu, Adana Demispor as well as Atletico Beleares in Spain.
