Kwara United defender, Saka Azeez slumped and died during a training session on Friday, aspnewsng.com can report.

The left- back, who was the son of former African and Commonwealth Table Tennis champion, Kasali Lasisi, apnewsng.com scooped slumped and died during a training session at the Kwara Stadium.

He was immediately rushed to the State General Hospital, which is just few metres away from the Stadium

His death came a day after his father was given an award by the Kwara State government for his outstanding contribution to sports development in the state, where he was confirmed dead.

The 24-year-old joined Kwara United from another National League side, FC Zamfara at the beginning of the season.
