AC Milan director Ricky Massara has admitted it will be “difficult” for the club to bring in new players between now and the end of the window – with the Rossoneri linked with Nicolo Zaniolo.

Roma‘s midfielder is also a target for Tottenham, with Sky in Italy reporting this week that AC Milan have entered the race for the Italian.

“We are focused on the match and on the season,” said Massara to DAZN when asked about Zaniolo.

“The market is still open, even if we have already widely said that we don’t have particular needs and we continue to think this way.

“Then we’ll see if there will be opportunities between now and the end, but I think it will be very difficult.

“We are absolutely convinced that we have a strong squad, a strong team and an excellent coach, able to compete at the highest level and to do so until the end.

“We are very calm about the value of this team. We are recovering many players who have had injuries and a good season finale awaits us.”
