Hoffeinheim are following up their interest in Nigerian striker, Kelechi Iheannacho and are set to offer him a season long loan deal.
The 20-year-old signed an extension to his Manchester City deal at the start of the season that will keep him at the Etihad until 2021 but has failed to figure prominently as expected.
The Nigerian broke into the Citizens first team last season under former manager, Manuel Pellegrini and finished the season with 14 goals in all competitions and rated one of the hottest prospects in Europe.
However, this season has seen him score just seven goals and made three assists for the team majorly due to lack of playing-time as he is currently behind Sergio Aguero and new boy Gabriel Jesus in the pecking order.
Guardiola insists that he admires Iheanacho‘s commitment and work-rate in training but there are question marks over whether the Nigerian fits into his style of play.
But Hoffenheim  who are preparing for life in the UEFA Champions league next season according to reports in British tabloid, the Sun are hoping to strike a deal that will favour both parties as they look to take the Nigerian on a season long loan.
Iheanacho has made over 60 appearances for Manchester City since he joined the club after helping Nigeria win the Under-17 World Cup in 2013.
