eFraud confab:Industry CEOs, Stakeholders Converge in Lagos

Top-notch Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of organisation from within and outside the electronic payment industry and other key stakeholders in the economy are set to converge on Lagos next week for this year’s edition of the Electronic Fraud Conference.

Already, the organisers of the event, the Electronic Payment Providers Association of Nigeria (E-PPAN), has announced over 15 top-notch CEOs and senior level government executives to speak at the conference holding Monday next week.

The 7th Annual Payment Systems and Fraud Conference, 2016 with the theme: ‘E-Payment Fraud: People, Process and Technology” is scheduled for Monday next week at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.

According to the Executive secretary and Chief Executive Officer, E-PPAN, Mrs. Regha Onajite, “The conference willconvene and host close to 18 distinguished panelists and speakers and over 250 attendees including CEOs and senior executives from banks, government agencies and industry regulators who are dedicated in defining and protecting the integrity of the financial and payment systems in Nigeria.”

The confirmed speakers for the conference, according to her, include Kyari Bukar; Managing Director/CEO, Central Securities Clearing System Plc , Alice Etim Ph.D, Associate Professor of Management Information System, Winston- Salem State University, USA, Folakemi Fatogbe; Director, Risk Management, Central Bank of Nigeria, Dipo Fatokun, Chairman, Nigerian Electronic Fraud Forum and Director Banking and Payment Systems Department CBN, , Ade Shonubi; Managing Director / CEO, Nigerian Inter-Bank Settlement System Plc,.

They also include Dele Adeyinka; Chairman, Committee of e-Banking Industry Heads, Opeyemi Adojutelegan; Chairman Committee of Chief Compliance Officers of Banks in Nigeria, David Isiavwe Ph.D; Chairman, Information Security Society of Africa- Nigeria (ISSAN) , Fatai Folarin; Chief Executive Officer, Deloitte Nigeria and Deloitte West African Region, Agada Apochi;  and Managing Director/ CEO, Unified Payments Limited,

“So far the Central Bank of Nigeria, Unified Payments, OLX and Global Accelerex has thrown their weight behind the 7th Annual Payment Systems & Fraud Conference. She noted that this years’ conference is hosted by E-PPAN in partnership with the Nigeria Electronic Fraud Forum(NeFF); Committee of Chief Compliance Officers of Banks in Nigeria (CCCOBIN);Information Security Society of Africa-Nigeria (ISSAN); Association of Chief Audit Executives of Bank in Nigeria(ACAEBIN) and other industry stakeholder. Registration has commenced for the 2016 conference and currently over forty-two organization has pre-registered as registration is still ongoing.
