Again, the suspended former Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Appropriations, Abdulmumin Jibrin has alleged that the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara and his deputy, Lasun Yusuf of using official guest houses to host parties for prostitutes.

This is a continuation of the face-off between Jibrin and the leadership of the House.

Jibrin stated this on his official Twitter handle @AbdulAbmJ, accusing Dogara and other House leaders of collecting billions of naira in the name of rent of official quarters and guest houses at the time the nation is in recession with ministers collecting peanuts for their own rent.

The Kano State lawmaker, who quoted Late Thomas Sankara of Burkina Faso, said he has chosen to be a madman in order to be fight corruption in the polity.

Jibrin tweeted: “On day 88 of DOGARAGATE: At a time of recession when Members of House and ministers collect a paltry sum perannum for rent of official House, Speaker Dogara and Lasun collected 500m naira from multiple sources in the name of “we no get official house” for rent of Houses&guest houses

“It was in delivering part of the illicit money that the criminal Hon Hembe stole part of the money that spark a fight between him and Lasun

“You cannot carry out fundamental change without a certain amount of madness. I want to be one of those madmen- Thomas Sankara

“Billions has been stolen over the years in name of providing official house and guest houses that are often used for parties with prostitutes”, Jibrin tweeted.

It would be recalled that Jibrin, who was sacked over alleged mishandling of the 2016 budget, had sustained a campaign for the sack of Speaker Yakubu Dogara, his deputy, Lasun, the Chief Whip and Minority Leader, Leo Ogor over allegations of padding the budget to the tune of N40billion.

He was suspended for one year upon the resumption of the House in September.
