Chinese League one outfit, Club Baoding Yingli Yitong have appointed former Nigeria technical adviser, Johannes Bonfere as their new head coach, reports apnewsng.com.
Bonfrere takes over from Zhao Changhang who was relieved of his duties following a string of poor results by the side.
Yitong sit in 14th position in the 16 team CL 1 table having recorded two wins from 10 league games this season.
They lost their last game on Sunday, 3-1 against Xinjiang Tianshan.
The 71-year-old will look to revive the fortunes of his new club and help them stay in the division.
The former South Korea gaffer once had stints with Chinese sides, Dalian Shide and Henan Jianye.
The Dutchman had two stints with Nigeria, having managed the Super Eagles from1995 and 1996.
He led the country’s U-23 team to win gold medal in the football event of the Atlanta’96 Olympic Games, the first African country to achieve the feat.
His second stint lasted for two years, 1999-2001.
