The Champions League draw was made on Monday, and Arsenal will face Bayern Munich in the last 16 of the competition.
Arsenal have faced the German champions 10 times since the 2000/01 season, winning on three occasions, including last season’s 2-0 victory at Emirates Stadium.
The first leg will be played at Allianz Arena between February 14 and 22, with the second leg taking place at Emirates Stadium between March 7 and 15.
Real Madrid will take on Serie A side Napoli, as they look to defend the crown they claimed under Zinedine Zidane last season.
Barcelona face a tough test against Paris Saint-Germain in the last 16 – who they faced in the group stage last term and the quarter-finals back in 2012-13 – while Leicester City’s continental adventure will continue against Sevilla, with the reigning Premier League champions having impressed so far.
The other ties at the first knockout stage will see Benfica tackle Borussia Dortmund, Porto lock horns with Juventus and Bayer Leverkusen attempt to halt the charge of 2015-16 beaten finalists Atletico Madrid.
