(Last Updated On: 2017-05-31)

The Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, has received support for his alleged sack of Presiding Chaplain in the Chapel of Christ the Light, at the Government House, Alausa.

The support coming from Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Lagos State Chapter on Tuesday said the sack of the Presiding Chaplain, Chapel of Christ the Light, Venerable Femi Taiwo by the state government was in order.

CAN Chairman, Lagos State, Apostle Alexander Bamgbola at a news conference at the Chapel of Christ the Light, Ikeja, Lagos, bemoaned the way the matter had been over-flogged in the media and social media, adding that the government has the power to high and fire.

According to him, the church was built by the Lagos State Government for itself and for the public and consequently appointed two chaplains to run the affairs of the church, with the Presiding Chaplain the senior.
