Rivers United captain, Austine Festus says the side will go all out for a win in Saturday’s CAF Confederation Cup fixture against Ugandan outfit, KCCA FC, reports apnewsng.com.
The Pride of Rivers will face the Ugandan champions in Kampala looking to avoid the disappointments of their last away game in the competition against Club Africain of Tunisia which ended in a 3-1 defeat.
With all four teams in the group tied on the same points, a win in this game will no doubt boost their aspiration of making it to the knockout phase.
And the tough tackling centre-back is confident they will beat their hosts.
“It’s a crucial game for us. Our target is to proceeed to the last eight and to achieve that objective we must make sure we beat KCCA at home,”the former Nigeria youth interntaional informed apnewsng.com.
“We have prepared so hard for the game and we will give our best to make sure we don’t return home empty handed.
“It’s not going to be easy out there as KCCA proved their quality with the win against Club Africain but we are determined to beat them in front of their fans.”
