The Commandant General(CG) of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC), Abdullahi Gana Muhammadu, has directed the redeployment of 30,000 personnel for the yuletide celebrations.
A statement from the corps spokesman, Emmanuel Okeh, states that the CG “directed the immediate deployment of 30,000 Personnel to man strategic locations nationwide.”
He also directed that all Commands should ensure adequate deployment to black spots such as Churches, shopping centres, recreation centres markets etc. in their respective states.
Gana enjoined Christians and other Nigerians to imbibe the exemplary life of our Lord and Saviour  Jesus Christ who came into the world for the good of all mankind and lived a life worthy of emulation by all people living on earth.
”Therefore, I am using this medium to encourage all Christians to use the birth of Jesus Christ to preach peace and embrace everyone irrespective of religious affiliation and to pray for the peace of Nigeria ” Gana said.
