Nigerian champions, Enugu Rangers has been drawn against Algerian club, Jeunne Sportive Saoura, while Rivers United was handed a tricky fixture against Mali’s AS Bamako in preliminary round of Confederation of African Federation (CAF) Champions League.

In the Confederation Cup, Federation Cup champions, FC Ifeanyi Ubah would make their bow in the competition against Egyptian side, Al-Masry.

The Green Eagles who last played on the continent in 2002 where they were semi-finalists in the CAF Cup qualified for this competition thanks to their fourth place finish in the Egyptian Premier League.

Ifeanyi Ubah host the Egyptians in the first leg while the return leg takes place at the Port Said Stadium, whoever progresses from this stage would face Mali’s Djoliba AC in the first round.

Also, Wikki Tourists, who placed third in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) last season must negotiate their way past Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces FC to reach the first round.

RSLA host the first leg at the Forces FC Ground Wusum Sports Stadium Makeni with the return leg holding in Bauchi.

Should Wikki get past the debutants, they face Club Africain of Tunisia in the first round.
