Gionee, one of the leading original Chinese mobile devices manufacturers has stressed the need to ensure security of mobile smartphones to curb cyber crimes.
This according to the company informed the double chips protection embedded in its latest smartphone tagged, Gionee M6.
The device which was officially unveiled on Wednesday at the Renaissance Hotel, Isaac Jones, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos is designed with latest and finest technology to address mobile needs of smartest people in Nigeria.
Speaking at the launch, Gionee’s Marketing Director, Nigeria, Mr. Habeed Somoye said the device address the speed required of a 4G smartphone.
He described Gionee M6 as the world’s safest smartphone.
Somoye explained that the nature of critical information available on people’s mobile phones makes security of those devices critical.
He said, “As smartphones increasingly become an integral part of our lives, the importance of mobile security grows increasingly paramount. Think about how much of our life is stored in that little device, private conversations and photos with loved ones, financial and employment information, details records of our daily habits. It’s pretty scary, right?. That is why Gionee makes mobile security the highest priority with its newest smartphone, the M6 “the world’s safest smartphone.”
He said the device which was launched in partnership with Etisalat Nigeria is a fresh evolution of the Gionee’s line of smartphones designed to refresh people’s experience of mobile devices with a powerful battery, security chips and speed like never before.
On the M6 features and specifications, Somoye said, the device has 64GB ROM‎ and 4GB RAM, comes with a dazing 5000 Milli Ampere battery that comes with a capacity density of 700wh/L, life never stops.
He said with such a powerful battery, the thickness is only 8.2mm. Present also is a 9V2A dual charging chip that allows for faster charging speed and better cooling effect. It can also serve as a power bank that will charge up to four other phones.
Somoye said, “The Gionee M6 also features a fingerprint scanner on the home button. Having the sensor at the front allows for much faster unlocking and safer use. The Gionee M6 is itself a redefinition of what it means to take a snapshot. With an 8MP front and 13MP rear camera with Face Beauty and a Screen Flash that allows you take selfies in the dark, every act of photography for you becomes an experience; every flash tells a story; every memory meets no end.
“The Gionee M6 is not infallible; few things are. It can, however, withstand a fall – and that’s something very few things are capable of. With a 6000 series aluminum, the metal ratio of M6 is as high as 97%, stronger than before. After 58 complex processing, the sleek and durable metal comes with a diamond cut finish with premium look.”
He listed other features to include an AMOLED glass; 5.5 inches FHD display; WCDMA/GSM; infrared remote control; screen record; split window; dual micro SIM; Android 6.0; 4G+; business card scanner and translator; smart power consumption; gyroscope; electronic compass; gravity sensor; light sensor; hall sensor; and proximity sensor. Its processor is MT6755.
Meanwhile, Head, Value and Mass Market Segment, Etisalat Nigeria, Mr. Idowu Adesokan informed that the Gionee M6 comes with a free 1GB data and 11months of free access to social media websites.
