Academix.ng Hits 100,000 Milestone

Academix.ng, Nigeria’s first indigenous e-Library has reached the 100,000 article milestone.

Speaking on the milestone at the company’s office in Calabar, the Founder/CEO of www.academix.ng, Engr. Iso Bassey stated that, “This milestone coming shortly after our one year in business is a result of our commitment to our goal of providing Africa focused research to the world. It’s an encouragement to do even better. Our goal for 2017 is to hit the 1 million milestone.

Bassey noted that, “Our portal has had more than 4 million hits from five major countries namely Nigeria, United States of America, United Kingdom, China and Russia within one year of our operation.”

Speaking further, Bassey reaffirmed Academix’s commitment to offer its subscribers a fast growing, diverse and rich platform for research in all fields of Africa focused research.

During the past year, Academix.ng has forged strong partnerships with universities, government research agencies, professional associations as well as local and international publishers. According to Bassey, “these partnerships have helped establish a pipeline for the delivery of high quality research material to www.academix.ng”

Academix.ng was launched on 1st September, 2015 to meet a growing demand for African focused knowledge. Academix.ng aggregates and hosts multidisciplinary, Africa focused research.

It features journals, research papers, theses, dissertations and reports. The portal currently has over 108,000 research items and offers subscriptions to individuals and organizations.
